✦WHAT IS RF SKIN TIGHTENING? ✦
RF Skin Tightening is a great way to prompt your skin to produce more collagen and elastin. This treatment is non-invasive and a hand-held wand will apply radio waves to your skin.
Radio waves emitted from the wand will create heat. This heat is what signals your body to produce more collagen and elastin. Cell turnover is sped up and your skin will get thicker and firmer over time.

✦ HOW TO PREPARE ✦
Before coming into for your appointment, make sure your skin to be treated is untouched. This means, no active sunburns or open wounds. Please refrain from applying topical treatments like retinoids as the heat from the radio waves can cause an uncomfortable sensation. Laser hair removal, shaving, waxing, or using any other depilatory methods will also cause irritation in your skin during the treatment, so try to avoid the use of these methods at least 2 weeks in advance.
Avoid a heavy meal and fatty foods at least an hour before. If you have any metal implants, you should notify your technician as well as your doctor before the procedure. Make sure to list any blood thinning medications you are taking and avoid any alcohol at least 24 hours before your appointment.
✦POST-TREATMENT ✦
After your appointment, it is normal for the treated area to feel warm. To get the best results, do not wax the area for 3-5 days. Refrain from using laser hair removal for 2 weeks after your treatment. Hold off on exfoliation for 2-3 days after and avoid anything that can raise your body externally and internally.
